These are a few of my favorite projects I have worked on in the past year.

Project 1. Infini-D Learning Marketing Website

Website: https://infinidlearning.com/

Project: For this project, I created a marketing website for Infini-D Learning.

Tools: I used WordPress to create the site and Adobe Illustrator to create all of the graphic imagery.

Lessons Learned: I learned how to use a website builder and how to troubleshoot any issues that I encountered throughout the course of the project. I relied heavily on the 80/20 rule by removing content that was unnecessary for this website's goals.

Project 2. UVU AED Program Website

Website: https://www.uvu.edu/aed/

Prototype: https://invis.io/AWWCEL4U8MV

Project: For this project Spencer Wright and I designed a new website for the AED Program at UVU.

Tools: We used Adobe XD to build the mockups and Invision to build the prototype.

Lessons Learned: The most valuable insight from this project was learning to prepare for and conduct successful user tests. After having one user test go awry we quickly regrouped and evaluated opportunities for improvement.

Project 3. Resol Non-Profit Logo & Style Guide

Style Guide: https://documentcloud.adobe.com/link/review?uri=urn:aaid:scds:US:6a461ca3-10ab-4942-a7cf-7a60de3ff0c4

Project: Resol is a nonprofit that approached me about doing some design work for them. They needed a logo and a style guide to build their website and guide their brand.

Tools: I used Adobe Illustrator and Adobe XD.

Lessons Learned: I grew in my understanding of how to work with a client. I saw the importance of consistent communication with a client and also how to work through and interpret client feedback.

Project 4. Kinetic Typography Passion Project

Project: I was interested in learning how to use After Effects for kinetic typography. I grabbed Willem Dafoe’s monologue from The Lighthouse and animated text to it. This was a very fun project even though it took me quite a while.

Tools: I used Adobe After Effects

Lessons Learned: How to sync text with audio and how to make text visually interesting using video.
